Thom Barker is freelance writer, musician and artist. After graduating from Carleton University in 1994, Thom took a nine-year detour into the high-tech business. Finally back on the writing track in 2003, he freelanced for a couple of years before taking a job with The Interior News in Smithers, B.C. where he became a trusted reporter and popular columnist. Thom now resides in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, where he has just released his second CD Twice the Usual and is working on a book about the 2005 in-custody shooting death of Ian Bush by RCMP Const. Paul Koester in Houston, B.C.
