Thom Barker is freelance writer, musician and artist.
After graduating from Carleton University in 1994, Thom took a nine-year detour into the high-tech business. Finally back on the writing track in 2003, he freelanced for a couple of years before taking a job with The Interior News in Smithers, B.C. where he became a trusted reporter and popular columnist.
Thom now resides in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, where he has just released his second CD Twice the Usual and is working on a book about the 2005 in-custody shooting death of Ian Bush by RCMP Const. Paul Koester in Houston, B.C.

I'd like to say hello to Eddie, Mia and Grandma. The three of you make quite a combination. That giant eyeball would be very scary except for the handsome pupil at the center of it all. The princess is lovely resting on the knee of the Queen of Hearts. I hope you had at least as much fun on Hallowe'en as we have had in seeing this picture of you in your creative costumes.
