- Thom Barker is freelance writer, musician and artist. After graduating from Carleton University in 1994, Thom took a nine-year detour into the high-tech business. Finally back on the writing track in 2003, he freelanced for a couple of years before taking a job with The Interior News in Smithers, B.C. where he became a trusted reporter and popular columnist. Thom now resides in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, where he has just released his second CD Twice the Usual and is working on a book about the 2005 in-custody shooting death of Ian Bush by RCMP Const. Love it, Thom! Those Canada geese are not as popular as they are beautiful but you have isolated this pair and captured their form and staying power. Nice work!
